On snow watch . . .

We have apparently gone from a "Heavy Snow Warning" to a "Winter Storm Warning."

I am *not* gona be happy if we have school tomorrow.

I was banking on a snow day.

I am watching "Flags of Our Fathers" now, and I have three other movies lined up.

Last night, I suggested to evilnicola that with the weather coming, it might be a bad day for asthma.

I should not say these things.

She was in the school clinic today and is now on Prednisone.

Things got interesting at school today when the principal, who is in his third year, gave us all a note that he is a finalist for a principal's job at another school.

Things have been a touch shaky lately, and this definitely does not help.

We played a new game in school today. It was called "Mr. T. Rules."

I gave the kids blank bingo cards.

They put vocabulary words in the sqares. As we reviewed each word, they got to cross off the square. The first one to get a bingo had to stand up and say, Mr. T. Rules." We also did the bordersm the X the T and "Cover All."

Hey, my ego needs a boost.

The first mile . . .

I want to the gym today for the first time in at least two years (or so).

I really surprised myself.

I did a mile on the treadmill in 17:45, which was only a few minutes off what I was doing before.

I was going to stop after 20 minutes, but I did 30.

I did a little light lifting and stretching, too.

I am a touch sore now, but I am glad I started.

For the record, post-workout weight was 283. I was down to about 263 when I was really on weight watchers.

First target. 12-minute mile and a weight of 250. Three-month goals, let's say.

Oh, and from the "Small World Department, I ran into elizabear and her kids was I was walking in and they were walking out.
