Thoughts on a Thursday morning . . .
Sep. 6th, 2007 02:38 pm1. I am growing to love living in a small town. I just walked to to the town offices, the bank, the post office, the high school, the library, the convenience store, a coffee shop and the hardware store.
2. Observation: Not having much depth perception means using a lot of paper towels.
3. Back on the bicycle: After a long hiatus, I am covering a high school football game Saturday. Averill Park at South Glens Falls.
4. I absolutely love looking at women with long hair, and a read a number of LJ groups, etc. The topic of Locks of Love comes up a lot. This hair site has a bit of commentary and a link New York Times articles.
5. OK, so I am an SCA geek. I was responding to something on anotehr list, and when I looked at the names of the 18 East Kingdom major officers, I was able to identify the local group of 15 of them. But no, I do not have Corpora or the Order of Precedence on my computer.

Busy as a bear . . . .
Sep. 6th, 2007 05:22 pm. . . because if I say busy as a bee, I picture myself wearing the John Belushi bee suit from Saturday Night Live."

( Today's Things Done list )
Since 5:30 p.m. . . .
Sep. 6th, 2007 07:15 pm. . . I have remained busy.
Ran the new bread machine through one cycle "to burn off the oils used in the manufacturing process," as the manual said.
Called the bread machine company to find out what to do since they had not included a mixing blade (not needed for the first cycle).
Gave up on being on hold and went with the e-mail.
Put the laundry together for a laundromat run tomorrow.
Registered online at the library
Downloaded (legally) the audio book, "The Cheating Culture: Why More Americans Are Doing Wrong To Get Ahead," by David Callaghan and started listening to it.
Did some actual writing.
Fought with my printer. Lost.

evilnicola would say)
Speaking of "Teh Evil One (tm), I had a nice chat with her this evening.
During that chat, I realized the mixer blade for the new bread machine was attached to power cord with a twist tie.
I have defeated the printer, at least for now.
I gave rediscovered my "Fizzy Yellow Beer is For Wussies" beer glass from the nice folks at Arrogant Bastard.
I just cannot imagine voting for Fred Thompson. He was such a prick on "Law & Order."
At least he never said, "If it bleeds, we can kill it."
Rygby World Cup starts this weekend. Go Portugal!
