Look, a non-snarky post!
Oct. 8th, 2007 10:51 pmI have been a realy Mr. Grumpy Bear on a couple of SCA lists today. (Believe it or not!).
But I am really all happiness and joyful and light.

talvinamarich asked me if he could use some photos of mine on his barony's web page. He managed to pick some of my favorites.
evilnicola made fresh pumpkin soup and fresh raspberry cobbler. Yay! (I made the grilled cheese).
One of the people I used to work with was opining my absence in an e-mail. I get a chuckle out of anyone who can put me and "intellectual" in the same sentence.
I wish you were still here. While things are going smoothly overall, and people seem happy, there is a lot less of that laughter based upon recognizing intellectual absurdity! Of course, that can be good or bad, but you are one of the people who grounded us in enjoying that approach.
Absurdity, well, yeah. That works.
I just had a chat with an SCA duchess who is one of the most grounded, humble and polite people in the Society.
Ya know. I wish the worst upon the Yankees, but I think Joe Torre is a brilliant manager, and it would be awful if he were fired. (Well, it would be good for us, because no one's gonna be as good as him, but it would be wrong).
