Symphony for the Liam . . .
Dec. 23rd, 2007 09:59 pm1. Alethea's parents took us to the Portland (Maine) Symphony Orchestra's Christmas Show. It rocked! It was in Merrill Hall at Portland City Hall, the same place we saw Great Big Sea the night of our private wedding in October 2006. It was the four of us and Alethea's paternal grandmother, What a great time!
2. In 36 hours, I get to skip-225 posts. ;)
3. My in-laws are great! Turkey dinner today and roast beef tomorrow night! And the holiday Scotch? A Scapa 14. It's an Orkney!
4. Stopped for a quick visit at Long Trail Ale yesterday on the way from upstate New York to Maine. I did a little intelligence gathering. Next month, expect a coffee stout with Green Mountain coffee. It was cool, by the way, there were a bunch of folks who were out snowmobiling and had stopped for lunch. We kinda browsed, that was it.
5. Dinner was at Portsmouth (N.H.) brewing. They have cranked up the menu, and it now rivals The Publick House fo Brookline. Serioiusly!
6. I hope everyone has or has had a great weekend/holiday.
