Wednesday afternoon: Catching up . . .
Feb. 6th, 2008 01:41 pm1. This is odd, but while I did not go to an event this weekend, I still picked up three new friends. Please give a hearty Liamverse welcome to:
driftingfocus,
prince_hring, and
sunlight365.
2. Between a pleasure trip to Lake Placid that took up most of Sunday and being at an anti-youth vioilence conference in Albany until about a half-hour ago, I have been pretty much out of the loop. I read a lot of LJ, but I may have missed some things. Probably going to rest for a bit, then thoru myself into housecleaning. This weekend is fairly free (other than housecleaing -- the real never-ending story), but next week is Boskone, Yay! To be followed Boskone, Kings & Queen Bardic, Norther Lights/IDD baronial anniversary and a a Saturday conference for work. I am a busy guy.
3. I will be teaching a class at King's and Queen's Bardic. That's
Favorite SCA music.
Master Liam St. Liam will plays popular SCA songs from his collection of CDs by SCA artists, (Do not worry. Liam will not sing.) All are welcome.
4. Yes, there will be an auction at K&Q Bardic. I get the feeling the autocrat will find chairs and tables for me to put away later. I have a nice set of six arrows, and some good books. It will be a silent auction and will go on much of the day. Please contact me about donations.
5. You know how I post compliments sometimes. Well, this one's scary.
I asked zarhooie why she always mentioned me in her SCA posts, and she said:
Because in my brain, you *are* the SCA.
I am the SCA. Wow.
Scene from Fox News:
"Well, Keith, we need a comment from the SCA on this one.
"Well, I have Liam on speed-dial. After all, he *is* the SCA.
So Aaron, if you're around, what do you make of this? Can we make it a recommendation to the board?
