Wednesday morning: They got it right!

1. Yes, we apparently got maybe 4-6 inches of snow overnight, followed by freezing rain and who knows what else. The snow on the car and the truck was encrusted in ice. I scraped them off, but even the main road in front of our place (a main north-south state road) looked icky. My boss drives a big, old pickup truck, and when I e-mailed, she said the roads were "dicy," and that I would work from home for a while.

2. It took me about 15 minutes to wrestle the data off the work computer on onto this one. It's never as easy as it is supposed to be. I am trying to get to sign onto the work e-mail (I just recently got the permission), but for now the server isn't responding.

3. It's a good day to work from home. I have a lot of typing and reading to do. I will pop trillium on later, so I will be on AIM and Yahoo and the flaky LJ messenger. Right now, I want to get a start on the work.

4. The biggest plus is that alethea_eastrid's library is closed, along with the rest of Washington and Warren counties. Yay! Together time. The other pluses will include a huge pot of fresh coffee, all of my music to listen to and the IMing.

5. One of the minuses, which already happened once, is the fact that Kakuru will be "helping" with my work, including getting cat hair on the screen and sticking her tail and butt in my face.
