1. A hearty Liamverse welcome to ~maverick_weirdo, ~pale_chartreuse, and ~radioactivered. It's the post-Boskone rush. I love going to cons and SCA events. More readers are always welcome.

2. My sleep cycle seems to be balancing itself. I slpet almost 12 hours Monday night, but I felt kinda off all day. Last night I got to bed about 10:30 p.m., and I was awake at 5:30 a.m. So I decided to try to do stuff on the computer.

3. Plans for Saturday include King's & Queen's Bardic, and next week is Northern Lights. It's nice to have one event 34 minutes from your house and one the following week 42 minutes away.

4. Looks as though I will be involved in volunteering at Albacon, Oct. 12-14, in Albany, NY. The guests of honor are Anne and Todd McCaffrey.

5. The local paper is doing an excellent series on faith in sports. It is something that fascinates me.

Today's stuff was about a couple of churches that have a free "Breakfast With Jesus" or similar program once a week.

I like the menu at one of the churches:

His youth ministry, Amplified, also runs a Friday morning breakfast where it serves Mountain Dew, donuts and cereal. Amplified started running the breakfasts at the end of the 2005 school year. In past years, it has drawn as many as 20 students.

6. Well, time to go to work. Here's hoping today's a better day. ;)

1. Welcome to [livejournal.com profile] autographedcat, who I think has come aboard. His welcome note was cool:

You're a filk geek Red Sox fan with a John Kovalic icon. Welcome to my friends list. :)

2. One of the things I love is the time I spend on the road to and from work. Thirty minutes or so, all rural roads. (Not so much fun in the snow). I listen to NPR or books on CD. I see a lot of wildlife. (And a lot of cows). I saw my first coyote (up here, anyway) this morning, and I turned around to go look at it again. On the way home, I took a slightly scenic route (well, more scenic thank usual and part of it not paved well), and I saw a herd of more than 20 deer in a  clearning.  I think I might have seen the same herd, a couple more miles south, yesterday. I also saw two more sets of deer, maybe three or four in each. There were quite close to the road.

3. Work was substantially better today, largely because I holed up in my office and worked on the Year 3 plan. (Explaining again: Our grant is a five-year grant and we have to submit paperwork each year. It's due a week from Friday.) I did six horizontal pages in a grid format today. Tommorow I wil do the 5-10 vertical pages, but the good news is that I have already cut and pasted a good deal.

4. It's nice to come home, when there's warm beer, and find one of your favorites (cold) in the fridge. It calls for a (Sierra Nevada) Celebration (Ale).

5. From several sources, we can see that a chef . . .  wait for it, and the newspapers said it first  . . . "spiced up his resume".

Please take them and use them as you will.

Please credit Liam St. Liam.

The ones that look like broken links, click on 'em anyway. They work.

Yes, I will take down photos you don't like. I am working on some of that now.

Between the cards in play and these on the "Draw Table," every Munchkin card in existence was in the gaming room at Boskone '08.
