Wednesday morning: Up with the dawn
Feb. 20th, 2008 07:15 am1. A hearty Liamverse welcome to
maverick_weirdo,
pale_chartreuse, and
radioactivered. It's the post-Boskone rush. I love going to cons and SCA events. More readers are always welcome.
2. My sleep cycle seems to be balancing itself. I slpet almost 12 hours Monday night, but I felt kinda off all day. Last night I got to bed about 10:30 p.m., and I was awake at 5:30 a.m. So I decided to try to do stuff on the computer.
3. Plans for Saturday include King's & Queen's Bardic, and next week is Northern Lights. It's nice to have one event 34 minutes from your house and one the following week 42 minutes away.
4. Looks as though I will be involved in volunteering at Albacon, Oct. 12-14, in Albany, NY. The guests of honor are Anne and Todd McCaffrey.
5. The local paper is doing an excellent series on faith in sports. It is something that fascinates me.
Today's stuff was about a couple of churches that have a free "Breakfast With Jesus" or similar program once a week.
I like the menu at one of the churches:
His youth ministry, Amplified, also runs a Friday morning breakfast where it serves Mountain Dew, donuts and cereal. Amplified started running the breakfasts at the end of the 2005 school year. In past years, it has drawn as many as 20 students.
6. Well, time to go to work. Here's hoping today's a better day. ;)
