1. It is another nice day in the North Country. We can keep this up.
2. Traveling commences tomorrow. Leaving in the morning for Poughkeepsie for a work meeting, followed by a second work meeting, then the drive to Danbury to crash. Saturday is Coronation in Mount Kisco, probably followed by going back to Danbury. Sunday will be the long drive back home.
3. As you may well have noted, I see a lot of animals and birds in my driving up here. I am looking for a reasonably priced decent pair of binculars. Used it fine. I am also on the outlook for freshwater fishing equioment (spinning rod).
4. Am I delivering any sold items to any (or their courier) at Coronation?

OMG!!!!! THE ICE-CREAM TRUCK JUST WENT BY, (I thought it was a new ring on
alethea_eastrid 's cell phone. WE HAVE AN ICE CREAM TRUCK!
1. Spent the day in the office trying to make up for the fact that I missed some tme yesterday due to the eye thing (It's responding quickly) and because of tomorrow's meeting in Poughkeepsie. But I am really, really looking forward to Coronation.
2. I did see my first Spring foal-age today. Scrappy lookin' fella. More lambs, too (Or is that, lamb stew?)
3. Speaking of Coronation, Two more cool donations. Two knights -- I mean two nights -- at Blaikie House, a bed and breakfast owned by Mistress Bess and Sir Ysengge. (So I suppose if a knight had the winning bid, there would be two knights there). The other comes from the self-proclaimed "Babysitter of Kings . . . .well, at least of their kids -- the lovely Lady Nicola, who is offering two hours of babysitting during an agreed-upon event at Pennsic.
4. I had to go to two laundromats today, because the quarters machine was wasn't working at one, when I needed more for dryers, and the counter clerk was at lunch. I did get inflicted with Nanny 911. I always see the worst of men in laundromats. Twice, maybe three times, I have seen the male of the species lean against a table and watch his wife wash and fold. Tell you what, folks. None of the women I have ever loved would have let me pull that shit.
Anyway, the crux of Nanny 911 was that mom was overwhelmed with six kids and dad preferred to work and then go to church choir practice. Never talked to the kids, etc. Anywaym so the nanny sends mom out for the day, dad struggles mightily, the rude dauther takes off on her bike [stop me if you know where this is going], he finds her, has an epiphany, and when mom comes back, the kids are sitting with him, singing, as he strummed his guitar.
5. In the *other* laundromat, the music was . . . wait for it . . . a country station.
I absolutely identified with this song by Rodney Atkins -- "Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy)"
For posterity's sake, the chorus:
Come on in boy, sit on down
And tell me 'bout yourself
So you like my daughter, do you now
Yeah we think she's something else
She's her daddy's girl and her mama's world
She deserves respect, that's what she'll get, ain't it son
Now y'all run along and have some fun
I'll see you when you get back
Bet I'll be up all night
Still cleaning this gun
Tell me that ain't all poetic and shit. Makes me want to cry. ;)
THERE GOES THE ICE-CREA TRUCK AGAIN!

THERE GOES THE ICE-CREA TRUCK AGAIN!
A lot of people have asked about this.
My best suggestion is either find someone who is going and give them a maximum amount to spend on the specific item.
The other is to have someone call you when the item goes up.
I do not feel comfortable being a proxy, because I am so involved.
The live auction, featuring Master Ernst, will be at 1:30 p.m., assuming court is over. ;)
The ticket-tray portion of the auction will end at 3 p.m.
