1. From here, it looks like your time as Majordomo to the Princess is busy, but not overly stressful. How would you describe the type and scope of stress you are dealing with that you aren't telling us about, if there is any stress?
Honestly, the hard part is not saying "we." It is not my reign. I am a supporting actor.
A lot of it is e-mail, and I do a lot of that anyway.
Organization is hard!
There is always SCA politics, but I dealt with that before this, and I will deal afterward.
2. What is your favorite accomplishment?
Helping my students win three Outstanding Service Project Awards for National Honor Society.
3. What is your favorite creation?
You know this: theresat and
evilnicola.
4. In what location do you feel most relaxed and happy?
5. You can attend the final championship game/series of a stunningly good season by any two sports teams, unlimited by the vagaries of leagues, conferences, locations, etc.; what two teams would they be, and where would they play?
2008 World Series. Red Sox vs. Cubs at Wrigley. Game 7: Jon Lester vs. Carlos Zambrano.
(In my mind, I am bound by leagues and reality) ;)baronessgav
1. Knowing how much you enjoyed teaching, are you going to try and return to school in your new location?
I just opened the envelope containing my New York state teaching certificate. I have already set up several applications. Yes, I do.
2. I know how big a sports fan you are...how do you feel about the huge salaries many athletes are paid?
They should be paid better than you and I, because their earning potential is limited to, say 20-25 years rather than 40 or so. But . . . if clubs were not making huge profits, salaries -- and tickets -- would be lower.
3. I've heard of this happening so I wondered, following the results of Crown, do you ever worry about false friendships - people trying to befriend you for ulterior motives?
Me? I know everyone already. ;) I am an open book. I will talk to anyone.
I have seen it happen even before Crown is over, with people gravitating to the leader contenders' ladies.
It does happen.
4. If you could befriend someone famous (alive only) who would it be and why?
That is a fascinating and very hard question.
Heather Dale, I think. She's so cool in so many ways.
5. If you could offer me a piece of advice (as a parent, as an East Kingdom peer, as a friend, your choice) what would it be?
Be the one who starts the healing.
