Right now, I have:

West: Occidental Majesties
--Occidental basically means "in a westerly direction."

Principality of Oertha: Glacial Highnesses
---Oertha is in mundane Alaska.

East: Oriental Majesties
--Oriental basically means "in an easterly direction."
Middle: Draconic Majesties

--Their mascot-y thing is a dragon.

Middle: Mediterranean Majesties
--Mediterranean basically means "in a middlely direction."

Atenveldt: Solar Majesties
--Their kingdom arms are a really big sun! Also, Atenveldt is damn hot
in the summers.

Atenveldt: Aten Majesties
--Self-explaining

Meridies: Meridian Majesties
--Meridian basically means "in a southwardly direction" and that's
where Meridies is: south.

Caid: Crescent Majesties
--The kingdom arms have a crescent on them.

Ansteorra: Stellar Majesties
--Their kingdom arms have a massive star on 'em.

Ansteorra: Sable Lion Majesties
--I am assuming that a sable lion is their kingdom mascot-y thing, but
I am not sure.

Calontir: Calon Majesties
--Their kingdom arms have a calon cross.

Outlands: Outlandish Majesties (this may be wrong)
--This is somewhat self-explaining.

Artemisia: Artemesian Majesties
--Kinda self-explaining, really.

Aethelmearc: Sylvan Majesties
--Sylvan means "wooded", and Aethelmearc has lots of forests and stuff.

Ealdormere: Lupine Majesties
--Ealdormere's mascot-y thing is a wolf. I know this because I find
myself singing about it a lot.

Northshield: Stellar Majesties
--From the principality days when the Prince and Princess were called
Their Stellar Highnesses. I am not sure for the reason, but I assume
it has something to do with the kingdom arms.

Tygers of the East -- Harold von Auerbach

Shortly after Duke Morguhn's death, a number of people were saying they had heard of him, but didn't really know anything about him otr had not met him.

To those of us when knew him, this was sad.

The conversation also included the fact that for some folks, there were a number of other "legends" they did not know or know about.

So how do you pick the names to start such a discussion from an East Kingdom point of view (Morguhn was part of the East before Aethelmearc became a kingdom)?

You start with the list of Tygers of the East.

Tyger of the East: given to those who most embody and personify the ideals of the East Kingdom. No more than one person may be so recognized during a reign; a person may receive this honor only once. Established April 26, A.S. 37 by Darius II and Roxane II.

There are currently nine of these folks, including Duchess Katherine Stanhope, who was elevated at Crown. I am proud to say that there are at least two who read here actively. We will get to them.

I will start with the person's list of awards.

Then I would ask people to tell stories or explain just why they are so spiff.
