1. Welcome to
donal_mc_r!
2. There are still some areas of snow, but it was another brilliant pre-Spring day today. I saw piglets on the way to work yesterday, and the boys at Lake George High were out in back playing baseball. This makes me happy.
3. The fact that Frank was able to use the piece off the driveshaft I got makes me even happier. He figures his part of the work at $100, and I paid $75 for the part. He really scared me when he said he needed a new part, but it was not an expensive one. I will drop the car off for an oil change when I pick up the truck. Probably Thursday.
3. Speaking of happy, here's the full web site for Wolff's Bier Garten in Albany. Looks like time for Concordian Drinking Practice.
4. Today we had our annual Youth Summit that draw about 325 kids and 30 teachers from almost every school in the two counties. It rocked!
I taught three straight classes on ethics, and it went great! I really enjoyed teaching again.
The third session was the only one that had adults and included my (fairly) new boss and a newspaper reporter.
5. The newspaper reporter and photographer were shiny bonuses, because I have really been working hard on getting them there.
To make it even better, when I got there, I looked at the Glens Falls Post-Star and realized they had done a big article on the skateboard park and the Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner.
6. News from Gulf Wars.
alethea_eastrid should be eating chili with Ansteorrans any time now. She was in Calontir's Purple Pavilion when I called
liadan_m to check in. (The queen does not need to carry a phone, she has "people" for that). Alethea fought heavy today and will fence tomorrow, avoiding the Ravine Battle. But Lucan has dedicated his first seven kills to her. Don Avery from Ansteorra checked in with her.
wench23 is there, as are
soldiergrrl and
cenliamgordon.
7. I was not able to read LJ at all today, and I am about to start. I will let you know when I am done.
