1. Welcome to [livejournal.com profile] cuilen_mac. Be gentle. He is new to LJ.

2. There's nothing like a couple of large mugs of Ethiopian Yrgecheffe coffee to get you tingling.

3. Here is the New York Times update on the State Senate fiasco.

4. My curiosity continued yesterday, so I crunched some more numbers.

This was as of just before 3:30 p.m., yesterday (Monday).

Total posts by me to [livejournal.com profile] liamstliam since Jan 1, 2009 -- 205. (Yes, mor than one a day)

Posts totally unrelated to the SCA -- 113 (54 percent).

Posts directly related to the SCA -- 57 (27 percent).

Posts that were mixed SCA and non-SCA content -- 40 (19 percent). (Many of these are Liam-style)

Yeah, fascinates me me, ;) I would have figured a higher percentage of SCA-only.

5. I have really enjoyed the fencing discussion here. It definitely has taken some different directions than those I have seen in the past. It's also been polite, as these things go. I know some voices are staying silent, but I understand that.

It was that original post, which was in someone else's LJ, that got me thinking about the representativeness of my LJ.

I think the strength that has shown through there has been the diversity as well.

6. I get to go shopping at the "Meat Store of the North" for our big picnic this week.

7. Headed off to work. I hope everyone has a great day!

I am rushing off to a meeting, but I think that the thread of fencing and choosing a monarch has diverged enough to merit a separate thread on Calontir and fencing, so I would like to bring it over here.

We're getting just a little testy, so let's remember, you are sitting around my fire with my friends drinking my beer.

The only way I ever learned about the Calontiri philosophy on fencing was by asking Pavel and listening.

In my experience, Rhodri is someone who can be eloquent on a wide variety of subjects, and I think we should also listen and question politely.

Liam

Note: I have opened a third thread.

Please head over there.

Stuff is starting to get buried again, so let's come on over here.

One of the things buried at the bottom of the second thread is the fact that [livejournal.com profile] trimguy, another of the Calontiri with the most knowledge of the whole situation, has started writing his primer about Calontir and fencing at his LJ, and it's open to read.

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] rhodri2112 has started a discussion in his LJ as well.
