I am gobsmacked!

This is the equivalent of being the high school teammate of the No. 1 pitcher for the Yankees or Red Sox.

Peter Abraham, a southeastern Massachusetts boy, whom I worked with and against at Norwich back in the 1980s, is leaving the Westchester papers Yankees' beat to become the beat writer for the Red Sox.

I am ecstatic. I squee!
