The Red Sox are holding a 10:30 press conference to sign former star shortstop Nomar Garciaparra to a one-day deal so he can retire as a member of the team.

Well, it's official. I ain't right ;)

I just sent off my real-life and SCA resumes to the board chairman, so I am officially a nominee for the Board of Directors of the SCA.

I am really not sure what to think or say about this, and I won't even be considered for at least six months. Yes, I really think I could do an excellent job in the position, and it's something I very much want.

I want to thank the two folks who nominated me, and I am also glad there are now two more candidates from the East. Viscount Sir Edward Zifran of Gendy was also recently nominated.
