1. Welcome to
maridblois ,
maaggie1 ,
ragnvaig and
buttongirl. That's more like it
Please keep your arms and feet away from the cephalapods at all times.
2. I had all the 90+degree weather I needed at Pennsic, thank you very much. And the idea that I need the National Weather Service to tell me that the air is bad? My lungs told me that already thank you very much. Blech.
3. A small rant if I may: I joined Dreamwidth two or three iterations of "The sky is falling ago." I never use it. I don't want to debate LJ doing stupid shit, but since a number of people have "friended" me on Dreamwidth and there's a whole lot of discussion going on, I will address it.
I do not and will not crosspost comments from here to anywhere else. I may repeat my own post to pump up the volume, but I will not be ticking any boxes.
I almost never lock my posts anyway, so if you see one that is locked, you know it's really sensitive, and you know I trust you to handle it that way.
4. As far as the American League East race goes, "Was it over when the Herman bombed Pearl Harbor? No. And it's not over now!"
5. One of the wonderful things about being away for several weeks (yes, I know, I have been back for longer than I was away) is listening to hours and hours of NPR. I was up in the middle of the night again early this morning, and what did I do? Load up my NPR player.
6. I need to read more books. I have gotten out of that habit. I am currently reading "Feed," by Mira Grant, better known as Seanan Maguire.
7. To paraphrase Stan Rogers, "Say hello to Nova Scotia."
