Short of going to the National Convention, next week will be one of the busiest ever in my National Honor Society advisor life.

Monday is Induction Rehearsal and "The Night Before Induction." Gonna be busy.

Tuesday is Induction, and the principal wants to make sure I have plenty of help because it needs to be "flawless" because the new superintendent will be there.

( I just got off the phone with her. She's ecstatic to speak and willing to be brief. At the school board meeting Tuesday, she pumped up our chapter and the Empty Bowls Dinner.)

Wednesday: Did I say Empty Bowls Dinner? Induction had to be moved to Tuesday because of a number of earlier conflicts. March 31 (my birthday) has been the Empty Bowls date since last Spring. Can you say back-to-back? This is the dinner we won our national award with last year, and we're hoping for a big crowd. Our students made bowls, our Culinary Arts kids making the soup, and all the proceeds will go to the local soup kitchen and homeless shelter.

Friday: Grades close

Saturday: Volunteer Spring Cleaning on the high school grounds.

I hate being bored.
