I don't usually read Doonesbury but this storyline caught my eye (I have it on myYahoo whether I'm reading it or not). It didn't even occur to me that B.D.'s commentary was out of place in a comic strip. It really was the right way to write that frame. And I the doctor's comment made me giggle. I am a total Get Fuzzy fan... the last frame of that comic had me giggling and sad this morning.
It's good that the war is coming home to the comics pages. Regardless of whether or not one supports the war, one shouldn't be allowed to forget that it's happening and the consequences that spill in its wake. It's a good slap in the face for the anti-war people who need to get off their butts and get out and vote. It's also a good way to educate the pro-war folks in what the whole picture is so that they know exactly what they're supporting. I'm all for an informed public. :)
