1. Oh frabjous day! Welcome aboard to
cadhla. You just made my day. (Yeah, it's a gray life I lead.) ;)
2. I have a fresh pot of Foglifter coffee and NPR all dialed up and ready to go. Time to play on the Internets. (One of the guys I work with also works at Cool Beans in Glens Fall, and he can get the good stuff at half price.
3. Speaking of NPR, When I saw this NPR story about a guy traveling the country to fix typos, I immediately thought of a number of folks on my friends' list, including
rufinia,
alethea_eastrid and
evilnicola.
4. So today is a bonus day. I expected to be in a youth training in Albany, but one of my colleagues got it call off because of a forecast of possible icy rain. Trouble is, the forecast was just for up here -- and not too severe. The folks coming from the New York City area just had rain. Oh, well. I will see what I can get accomplished today. We have our big Youth Summit this Wednesday. We are expecting 300 kids. Ought to be good. I am continuing to do a lot of presentations, and I am also starting to beat the bushes for new Coalition members and for our mini-grants. The following week, I will have two days of training in Syracuse.
5. I love the Monatana governor who says the federal government keeps mandating "hare-brained schemes" and says sometimes you need to "Tell them to go to Hell," He's talking about the "Real ID" program.
