Saturday morning: Up too early . . .

1. My body apparently did not get the memo that it's the weekend. I was solidly awake at 6:50 a.m. or so. Hung in bed for a bed, thinking, then got up and made coffee. Yay for coffee. Shower next.
2. The economy, by the way, *is* hosed. If the Mashantucket Pequots are planning buy-outs to "tighten belts" at the world's largest casino -- which they are -- it *is* that bad.
3. Opening a pack of baseball cards, I see the word "Red" on the top card, but it turns out to be Bronson Arroyo. Further in the pack, I found Hillary Clinton (Democrat), and, finally Jonathon Papelbon. Yay! (Yes, they have political cards in the packs). I want a mis-print with Democrat above Curt Schilling. The next pack produced another Arroyo and the great Lenny DiNardo. I can has collection of former Red Sox?
4. Speaking of which, I sent a memo out the other had that said something to the effect of "We has to cancel the next meeting." I can has LOLMemo?
5. I will be glad when the baseball season opens. Yay! I am ready.
6. So, here's a question: Should a "Liam Style" post have a certain number of entries? I am not consistent, should it be five, maybe six? What's the minimum? The maximum? Do you ever write "Liam Style?"
7. More on living in the North Country.

Two stretches of the Northway in Warren County were closed overnight Friday after sleet and freezing rain caused extremely slippery conditions, police said.
Northbound stretches between exits 20 and 21 and 24 and 25 were closed for several hours late Friday and early Saturday after numerous cars slid off the road. It had been re-opened as of 6 a.m., according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
"There was nothing serious but it iced over," said sheriff's Sgt. Jeff Webster.

Oh, and a snarky response from at least one family member.

If you need me, I shall be at the Long Trail Brewery, thinking about how I am drinking good beer and you are not.
Well, after the laundry is done, anyway.
