1. Go Sox!

2. My boss' boss has made a switch in my hours, so I start work every day at 8 a.m. If this morning is any indication, this is a good thing. By 9 a.m., I had answered a number of e-mails, set up a couple of documents and shaken the money tree. ;) We had put in a budget modification more than two months ago, and it had not come through. I write the program director and this morning, and she responded by saying she'd done some nudging, and it was approved.

3. There was ice on the windshield this morning, and it was a bit brisk, but it *is* Spring. Bright sun and lots of baby animals in the fields. Tractors and farm equipment are out, too.

4, From The Day of New London:

Preston — The owner of land on Brickyard Road took matters into his own hands Tuesday when he encountered several people driving all-terrain vehicles on his property. Police say Alton Lewis, who owns 87 Brickyard Road, brandished a pistol when he saw the drivers on his property, confronted the drivers and shot a tire on one of the ATVs. Meanwhile, police arrived and arrested several drivers for trespassing and for driving unregistered vehicles. Lewis was not charged.

1. Rough day that included a co-worker explaining to me how I should be doing my job, missing the mailing deadline for the two state tax returns and going to village court in Greenwich for a speeding ticket, but having to return next month to talk to the Assistant District Attorney.

2. Good day that included getting our budget modification issue solved by 9 a.m., seeing the first baby goats and cria (baby alpaca) of the Spring and having a couple of deer sightings as well, plus getting a nice note from the queen and getting the federal tax refund deposited directly into the checking account.

3. A note to anyone who recieved a King's Cypher: They were made by Mistress Michel, and if they break, contact her.

4. I am covering Saturday's huge bicycle race that starts and finishes basically across the street for the local daily paper, and possibly for a douple of cycling magazines/sites.

5. It's kingdom fricking law! No flash photography in court. Period. It spoils the ambience, and I know it made one od the heralds miss several lines. In addition, I know a couple of award recipients who were bothered by it. Live with it folks. Oh, and by the way, the royals cannot tell you it's OK, even if they think they can. (Wow, Cranky Liam is cranky).

6. To all my accountant friends: Put your feet up and relax! It's over.

1. The Red Sox are in first place?

How did that happen?

Of course the whole division is with 2.5 games of each other.

Now, we go to th Bronx. This oughta be interesting.

2. Very strange dreaming night. I dreamed I was arrested for a mass murder (done with someone else). I was in jail, I think. Gradually, I realized I had done none of the killing. Then I "woke up" into another dream, that focused on a school. No, there was no naked.

3. Do your eyes glaze over when people post about their dreams? Mine do.

4. Miley, Miley, Miley . . . If you are dressing from the Hideous Department at Sears as a teen-ager, what's gonna happen when you get older?

5. Unrelated: Some people just don't get it.
