1. I guess yesterday's minuses outweighed the pluses. I took a mental/physical health day today. Anxiety and high blood  pressure make it really hard to work. Having anxiety is cool, because sometimes you do not notice the depression. ;)  It's nice to have the doctor's office across the street.

2. I am stymied. I was all set to get a New York vanity plate that said HENRY*V (with the star beging the little nap of New York). I was going to call my truck "Prince Hal." I want something that does not involve dropping letters. Yes, the original idea, ST*LIAM, is still available, as is SCA*EAST. Any other suggestions, historical, SCA or Liamverse related.

3. When I was listing the good things about yesterday, I neglected to mention Jason Varitek's pinch-hit homer. I also was not aware of this:

From the Red Sox site:

Making his major league debut Tuesday night, Jed Lowrie drove in a trio of runs - including two on a bases-loaded single - to help lead the Red Sox past the Indians, 5-3.

4. Enjoy your time protesting: This link to a polite LA cop is fabulous. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] theloriest via [livejournal.com profile] halleyscomet

5. I know a number of people who are possibly getting CPAP machines. Here is a link to what I use to power it. You pretty much have to charge it up behind the barn every two days or so. No, I am not shilling for Amazon. ;)

6. Rule No. 10 of the Liamverse: A true "Liam Style" post shall be numbered and shall not exceed six items. There is no No. 7. ;)

1. I had to laugh this morning. I am a big fan of Larry Winget, and he recently wrote a book called, "You're Broke Because You Want to Be." He's on A&E and does a reality show called "Big Spender." Anyway, I open the book, and the first advice I see is: "Cancel your cable TV." OK, haven't had cable in almost three years . . . What's next.

2. Actually, one of the reasons we don't have cable now (other than the cost) is that we have only a small TV. Yes, [livejournal.com profile] industrialblues, the TV you gave my family years ago has finally gone belly-up. No need for cable on a nine-inch screen. We will get a replacement eventually. There's one on the horizon. Anyway, so since we don't have cable, I have toyed with the idea of getting the MLB TV package for my computer. It's like $119 for the season, no small investment. The trouble is, I am subject to blackout rules based on where my ISP is, so I would get no games played at Yankee Stadium (like the next two nights) or Shea Stadium. Seems silly. Plus, the playoffs are either a separate package or not available. I may just drop the $20 on the MLB radio subscription. No blackout and choice of home or away broadcasters. I am a little tired of watching the graphics on GameCast.

3. Local paper does a story on NCAA saber champion Jeff Spear. Yes, Spear.

4. OK, so it's a Discovery Channel commercial, but it made me smile. From [livejournal.com profile] hughcasey via his friends.

5. If you are near Glens Falls, NY, SCA fight practice will be held outside at 6 tonight Crandall Park.

OK, so I have spent the whole day feeling crappy and moping around.

It is 65 degrees and sunny here in the North Country.

I have my shiny sneakers on (and a Pennsic shirt and cargo shorts), and I am going to grab the camera (and the trash) and head out into the afternoon.

See you in a bit.
